About Guia de Bonito

Guia de Bonito is an independent guide to Bonito, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, and the surrounding Serra da Bodoquena. The idea is simple: answer, accurately and without padding, the questions anyone asks before traveling here.

What we are

An editorial guide. We write about tours, itineraries, places to stay, restaurants, costs, transport and when to go. Every page has a clear purpose and shows when it was last updated.

What we are not

We are not a tour agency. We do not sell tours or accommodation and we earn no commission on ticket sales. In Bonito, tours are booked through licensed local agencies; this guide helps you decide what to book and in what order.

How the guide is funded

Three ways, all labeled:

1. Advertising from local businesses. Guesthouses, restaurants, agencies and services in Bonito can advertise. Every ad and every sponsored listing is marked “Sponsored” or “Advertisement”.
2. A digital itinerary. A paid product with day-by-day itineraries.
3. Automated advertising, when enabled, in positions that do not get in the way of reading.

None of these sources influences what we write about a tour or a place. Our editorial policy explains the rules in detail.

Languages

The guide is published in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Italian. Versions in languages other than Portuguese are localized rather than translated word for word, and they go live only when complete. Not every page exists in every language yet.
