Tree-top course and zip line. Formoso Adventure (Bonito Aventura) has a high-ropes circuit of cables and platforms in the forest, with routes at different levels. It does not depend on river levels and is an option for days of light rain.
Trails and horseback rides. Horse rides across farms and guided forest trails, usually with stops at a waterfall or a lookout. Low to moderate effort, with no technical requirement.

Our opinion: the Anhumas Abyss is worth the price and the planning if you have 4 days or more and enjoy heights. With fewer days, river tubing delivers a fun morning for a fraction of the cost and with no advance booking. The tree-top course is the wildcard for when the weather closes in.
How to fit them into an itinerary
The Anhumas Abyss takes a whole morning plus the previous afternoon (the test). In the 5- and 7-day itineraries it comes in the middle of the trip, after you have already done a river snorkel and a cave. River tubing and the tree-top course are half-day tours near the center and pair with a river beach in the other half of the day.
