Route
The most used route leaves Campo Grande on the BR-060 to Sidrolândia, continues on the MS-345 toward Nioaque and joins the MS-178 to Bonito. There is also a variant via Guia Lopes da Laguna. Both are paved and take about the same time; follow your navigation app, but download the map first: there are stretches with no mobile signal.
Road conditions
- Single carriageway for most of the way after Sidrolândia, with overtaking that demands patience and attention to trucks.
- Animals on the road. Cattle, capybaras, anteaters and tapirs cross the highway, especially at dusk and at night. This is the main risk of the trip. Avoid driving after sunset.
- Potholes and patched stretches appear depending on maintenance. Slow down where the surface is uneven.
